Fire Prevention

The Fire Prevention Bureau is charged with educating citizens of all ages, to recognize potential hazards and take appropriate corrective action. Through this educational process our aim is to keep our citizens safe from fire and minimize property damage loss.

Commerce Fire & Rescue is the proud owner of our new Fire Safety Trailer.  It is designed to educate children and adults about how to handle different fire situations in a safe enviroment.

October is Fire Prevention month.  Our "Fire Safety Clowns" promote fire safety at area schools. This year they performed for over 1,400 students in the area visiting schools in Commerce, Cooper, and Cumby.
